Nikita Singh is an Indian author most known for her work Someone Like You. She co-authored the book with Durjoy Datta which was released in 2013 by Penguin India. The book ranked No.5 at Hindustan Times Bestseller list.

Born on 6 October 1991, Singh has written books like Every Time It Rains, Like a Love Song, The Promise and After All This Time. She is an aspiring writer and has well established herself in the literary world at such a young age.

 

Nikita Singh: Early Life and Personal Life

Nikita Singh was born and brought up Patna, India. She grew up along with her brother. She moved to Indore when she was five. Nikita went to primary school and completed her schooling at Bridgeford School in Ranchi.

Singh earned a degree in pharmacy from the Acropolis Institue of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in Indore. She did her Masters in Fine Arts from The New School, New York City.

Nikita is quite a secretive one when it comes to her boyfriends and love affairs. She has not made any official announcements of her relationship status until now. She is possibly single and enjoying her bachelor life.

Nikita Singh: Career

Singh began her career after signing the contract with Penguin Books India in 2011. She served at Grapevine India as an editor. Nikita was only 19 when she wrote her first book Love @ Facebook. She then wrote the sequel of the book The Backbenchers entitled The Backbenchers: The Missed Call.

In 2012, Nikita collaborated with Durjoy Datta and published the book If It’s Not Forever… It’s Not Love. The book is based on the real-life incident including the ‘Delhi High Court Blast’. As an editor, she worked on the book 25 Strokes of Kindness by author Orvana Ghai.

 

Singh released the book Like a  Love Song in 2016 which became a bestseller in no time.  The following year, she released Every Time It Rains. Her recent work  Letter To My Ex released in February 2018 too can be counted in one of her bestseller lists.

For her incredible work, Singh earned a Live India Young Achievers Award in 2013. In April 2018, she got nominated for a First International Young Author Award to be held in UAE.
